  • Amhráin agus filí na Trá Báine le plé san Acadamh ar an gCeathrú Rua

Amhráin agus filí na Trá Báine le plé san Acadamh ar an gCeathrú Rua

Is fada trácht ar Amhrán na Trá Báine nó Amhrán an Bhá agus an tubaiste faoinar cumadh é ach ní taobh leis an amhrán cáiliúil sin atá baile beag géimiúil na Trá Báine i nGarmna i gConamara.

Beidh deis  ann anocht ar an gCeathrú Rua tuilleadh eolais a fháil ó bhean a rugadh agus a tógadh agus a chónaíonn ar an mbaile faoi amhráin agus faoi fhilí a baile dúchais.

Tá staidéar agus taighde iarchéime déanta ag Sinéad Ní Ráinne ar chumadóireacht agus ar chumadóirí an bhaile agus beidh sí ag roinnt cuid den eolas sin sa bpíosa cainte a dhéanfaidh sí ag teacht le chéile Chumann Béaloidis Chonamara in Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge san oíche anocht.

Seo an ócáid dheireanach a bheidh ag an gcumann béaloidis go gcaitear an samhradh.

Mar bhainisteoir an chomhlachta aistriúcháin Europus is fearr atá aithne ar Shinéad Ní Ráinne ach fonnadóir ábalta í féin chomh maith.

Seo cuid den chur síos ar an Trá Bháin a scríobh Máire Ní Dhonnchadha as amhrán Tarpey i mBailiúchán na Scol sna 1930idí:

Sé an t-amharc breá álainn atá ann ó gach taobh

Ó shléibhte Iar-Chonnacht go hÁrainn na Naomh

Idir srutháin is gleannta is locha glan glé

Níl aon áit níos deise fá fhlaithis Dé.

Cuirfear tús leis an gcaint ‘An Baile Beag Géimiúil: Amhrán agus Filí na Trá Báine’ ag a 8.00 pm san Acadamh anocht.
