Diúltaithe arís ag parlaimint Westminster do phlean Breatimeachta Theresa May

Tá diúltaithe tráthnóna arís ag parlaimint Westminster do phlean Breatimeachta Theresa May, an lá céanna a raibh an Bhreatain in ainm is an tAE a fhágáil.

Vótáil móramh sa pharlaimint i gcoinne mhargadh Theresa May, toradh a fhágann go mbeidh ar an Ríocht Aontaithe an AE a fhágáil ar an 12 Aibreán mura ndeánfar socrú eile roimh an dáta sin.

344 a vótáil i gcoinne an chomhaontaithe aistarraingthe agus 286 a vótáil ar a shon, rud a d’fhág nach raibh an móramh i gcoinne phlean May chomh mór is a bhí roimhe seo.

I ndiaidh vóta an lae inniu, dúirt Príomh-Aire na Breataine May gur dhóichí anois go mbeadh ar an Ríocht Aontaithe síneadh ama fada a lorg ar an mBreatimeacht agus páirt a ghlacadh sna toghcháin Eorpacha.

Níor cuireadh faoi bhráid na parlaiminte inniu ach an comhaontú aistarraingthe agus ní raibh aon vóta ann faoin dearbhú polaitiúil a ghabhann leis, cáipéis ina leagtar amach sonraí faoin gcaidreamh a bheadh idir an Bhreatain agus an AE i ndiaidh an Bhreatimeachta.

Níorbh ionann vóta an lae inniu agus an tríú vóta bríoch (meaningful vote) faoin margadh imeachta a d’aontaigh Rialtas na Breataine leis an AE.

Socraíodh leis an AE cheana mura nglacfaí le margadh May roimh an lá amárach go gcuirfí an Breatimeacht siar go dtí an 12 Aibreán, ach dá nglacfaí leis go mbeadh síneadh ama go dtí an  22 Bealtaine ar fáil.

Mura nglacfaí leis an margadh socraíodh go mbeadh ar an Ríocht Aontaithe plean eile a chur faoi bhráid an AE roimh an lá sin agus cinneadh a dhéanamh faoi pháirt a ghlacadh sna toghcháin Eorpacha.
