Bileoga sa mhionteanga mhícheart seolta ag iarrthóirí sna toghcháin Eorpacha

Ní bileoga toghcháin i mBéarla amháin atá ag cur as do lucht Gàidhlig na hAlban ach rabharta bileog Breatnaise.

Tá cáineadh géar déanta ar pháirtithe in Éirinn a scaip bileoga Béarla sa Ghaeltacht do thoghcháin na hEorpa, ach teanga Cheilteach eile atá ‘á brú’ ar Ghaeilgeoirí na hAlban.

Sheol Páirtí Lucht Oibre na hAlban na céadta bileog chuig daoine i dtuaisceart na tíre agus Breatnais orthu seachas Gaeilge.

Scaipeadh na bileoga ar fud Siorrachd Rois i nGarbhchríocha na hAlban.

Dúirt urlabhraí thar cheann Pháirtí an Lucht Oibre go raibh an scéal á fhiosrú acu ach nárbh bhaol do shonraí pearsanta aon duine de bharr na heachtra.

John Finnie, feisire de chuid na nGlasach i bparlaimint na Alban, a scaip scéal na mbileog Breatnaise ar Twitter. Dúirt sé, agus a theanga ina phluc aige,  gur teanga uafásach maith í an Bhreatnais agus gurb amhlaidh a léirigh Páirtí an Lucht Oibre a gcion uirthi agus iad á scaipeadh sna Garbhchríocha.

Big fan of the Welsh language – canan uabhasach math – seems ⁦@scottishlabour⁩ are keen to promote it too, by this leaflet, across Highlands and Islands. Handy reference map attached. #Labfail pic.twitter.com/FahUF7e5o4
