  • Súil leis an gcéad phlean teanga do bhaile seirbhíse lasmuigh den Ghaeltacht sa bhfómhar

Súil leis an gcéad phlean teanga do bhaile seirbhíse lasmuigh den Ghaeltacht sa bhfómhar

Tá súil ag Foras na Gaeilge go mbeidh an chéad phlean teanga do bhaile seirbhíse atá lasmuigh den Ghaeltacht réidh an fómhar seo.

Tharraing an Teachta Dála de chuid Fhianna Fáil Éamon Ó Cuív aird sa Dáil ar cheist na bpleananna atá faoi choimirce Fhoras an Gaeilge agus d’fhiafraigh sé d’Aire na Gaeltachta an fáth go bhfuil “an oiread moille” leo.

Faoi Acht na Gaeltachta 2012 is iad Foras na Gaeilge atá freagrach as ullmhú agus cur i bhfeidhm pleananna teanga i sé bhaile seirbhíse Gaeltachta lasmuigh den Ghaeltacht –cathair na Gaillimhe, cathair Chorcaí, Leitir Ceanainn, Trá Lí, Dún Garbhán agus Caisleán an Bharraigh.

Mar fhreagra ar cheist Uí Chuív, thug Aire Stáit na Gaeltachta Seán Kyne le fios go raibh sé i gceist ag an eagraíocht trasteorann plean chathair na Gaillimhe a chur faoina bhráid i bhfómhair na bliana seo.

De réir tuairisc a chuir an Foras ar fáil don Aire Stáit, cuirfear plean amháin eile faoina bhráid le faomhadh i mbliana, plean Leitir Ceanainn a bheidh ullamh i Nollaig 2019.

Tá sé i gceist plean chathair Chorcaí, a chur faoi bhráid an Aire i mBealtaine 2020 agus beidh plean Thrá Lí, réidh mí Iúil 2020. Tá sé i gceist plean Dhún Garbhán a chur faoi bhráid an Aire i Meán Fómhair 2020 agus mí na Nollag 2020 a chuirfear plean Chaisleán an Bharraigh faoina bhráid.

Dúirt Aire Stáit na Gaeltachta gur “gá a aithint gur ag luas na bpobal ábhartha faoi leith is gá gluaiseacht ós rud é gur ón mbonn aníos agus ón mbarr anuas atá an próiseas”.

Thug sé le fios go raibh maoiniú curtha ar fáil ag a Roinn gach bliain ó 2014 don Fhoras le cabhrú leo tacaíocht a thabhairt d’eagraíochtaí pleananna teanga a ullmhú.

Chomh maith leis sin, dúirt Seán Kyne go bhfuil €50,000 breise sa bhliain á chur ar fáil don Fhoras ó thús na bliana seo chun feidhmeannach breise a fhostú le “tuilleadh dlúis a chur le rudaí”.

“Ní call a rá go leanfar ag tacú oiread is féidir leis an bhForas chun a gcuid dualgas maidir leis an bpróiseas pleanála teanga a chomhlíonadh,” arsa Aire Stáit na Gaeltachta Seán Kyne.
