Tóraíocht óir agus airgid i gConamara

Níl ach lá amháin fágtha ag daoine chun cur i gcoinne ceadúnas atá i gceist ag an Roinn Cumarsáide, Gníomhaithe ar son na hAeráide agus Comhshaoil a thabhairt do chomhlacht ó Cheanada chun sirtheoireacht óir agus airgid a dhéanamh i dtuaisceart Chonamara.

Má thugann an roinn an ceadúnas seo do chomhlacht MOAG Copper Gold Resources Inc i gCeanada is féidir leo sirtheoireacht a dhéanamh ar an talamh idir Iorras Beag, i nGaeltacht Chonamara, agus Baile Conaola.

I measc na mbailte fearainn eile atá luaite leis an tóraíocht óir ag an chomhlacht tá Iorras Beag Thiar, An Buaile Ghéar, an Caladh, An Dólainn, Dumhaigh Shalach, Imleach Mór, Tulach Lomáin Bheag agus Muirbhigh, a chuimsíonn go leor de phortach Chloch na Róin, lámh le Páirc Náisiúnta Chonamara.

Is ceadúnas é seo chun tóraíocht a dhéanamh agus bheadh ar an chomhlacht iarratas eile a dhéanamh chun dul ag mianadóireacht sa cheantar, sa chás go n-aimseofaí ór.

Reáchtáladh cruinniú poiblí sa Chlochán ar an ábhar an tseachtain seo agus bhí leathchéad duine i láthair. Tá imní á léiriú faoin tionchar a bheadh ag an tóraíocht óir ar an tírdhreach, an timpeallacht agus cúrsaí feirmeoireachta sa cheantar.

Tá feachtas bailithe sínithe á reáchtáil ar Change.org i láthair na huaire i gcoinne na sirtheoireachta óir i gConamara agus é sínithe ag os cionn dhá mhíle duine.

Amárach an lá deireanach chun do thuairimí a chur in iúl don Roinn faoin cheadúnas seo.  EMD.info@DCCAE.gov.ie
