‘Ní dhearna mé an iomarca staidéir’ – an Gael óg atá ar dhuine de chúigear a fuair 8 ngrád H1

Tá MacDara Allison, cainteoir líofa Gaeilge a d’fhreastail ar Choláiste na Coiribe, iarbhunscoil lán-Ghaeilge i gCnoc na Cathrach i gcathair na Gaillimhe, ar dhuine de chúigear sa tír a bhain 8 ngrád H1 amach sna torthaí ardteiste a fógraíodh inniu.

Ag labhairt dó le Tuairisc.ie, dúirt MacDara Allison, arb as Mionlach i gcathair na Gaillimhe é, nach raibh sé ag súil “ar chor ar bith” le lánmharcanna a fháil san ardteist.

“Cheap mé go mbeadh H1 nó dhó agam ach ní raibh súil ar bith agam leis na torthaí a fuair mé.

“Ní dóigh liom go ndearna mé an iomarca staidéir. Rinne mé beagáinín ó thús na bliana agus choinnigh mé orm i rith an ama,  in áit an t-uafás a dhéanamh ag an deireadh,” a dúirt sé agus é ag caint linn ar an Spidéal inniu, mar a raibh sé ar cuairt ar ghaolta leis.

Rinne sé ocht n-ábhar don ardteist – Gaeilge, Béarla, Matamaitic, Stair, Fraincis, Bitheolaíocht, Ceimic agus Fisic – agus fuair sé H1, an grád is airde i ngach ceann acu.

Tá súil aige tús a chur le céim san Fhisic Theoiriciúil i gColáiste na Tríonóide i mBaile Átha Cliath i mí Mheán Fómhair.

Dúirt Príomhoide Choláiste na Coiribe, Seán Mac Dhabhoc, go raibh moladh mór tuillte ag an bhfear óg as an éacht a rinne sé.

“Duine an-chliste agus an-mheabhrach é agus bhí muid cinnte go bhfaigheadh sé bleaist maith de mharcanna H1, ach ní dóigh liom go raibh sé féin ag súil leis na marcanna a fuair sé.

“Nuair a chuireann daltaí an obair isteach, faigheann siad na marcanna, sin rud atá feicthe againn. Ní gach scoláire a fhaigheann 8 gcinn de mharcanna H1 ach is cuma cén toradh a fhaigheann tú. Má dhíríonn tú ar bharr do mhaitheasa a bhaint amach, sin an rud is tábhachtaí,” a dúirt Seán Mac Dhabhoc, Príomhoide Choláiste na Coiribe
