5,000+ duine ag tacú le #Gaeilge4All in aon lá amháin

Tá breis agus 5,000 duine tar éis a n-ainm a chur leis an achainí ar líne a sheol Conradh na Gaeilge inné ina n-éilítear ar an Aire Oideachais Joe McHugh an Ghaeilge a choinneáil mar chroí-ábhar Ardteiste agus “polasaí cuimsitheach” don Ghaeilge sa chóras oideachais “ón réamhscolaíocht go dtí an ollscolaíocht”.

Éilítear san achainí atá ar an suíomh Gaeilge4all.ie go gcuirfí an polasaí sin i dtoll a chéile “laistigh de shé mhí”.

Dúirt Aodhán Ó Deá, Bainisteoir Forbartha Chonradh na Gaeilge, go raibh dóchas ag an eagraíocht teanga go gcuirfeadh leathmhíle duine a n-ainm leis an achainí ar an gcéad lá.

“Níor chreideamar riamh go dtiocfadh 5,000 duine ag tacú linn ar an gcéad lá — teachtaireacht shoiléir don Aire Oideachais,” a dúirt sé.

Dúirt Aodhán freisin go “dtacaíonn an pobal lenár n-éileamh” córas níos fearr a chruthú agus go bhfuil an tacaíocht sin soiléir ón 5,000 duine a chuir a n-ainm leis an achainí agus leis an suirbhé a d’fhoilsigh an comhlacht Millward Brown inné maidir leis an nGaeilge sa chóras oideachais. De réir an tsuirbhé sin, d’aontaigh 64% de phobal na Sé Chontae Fiche gur chóir an córas oideachais a leasú ar mhaith leis an nGaeilge.

Tá lucht oideachais ag achainí ar an rialtas dul i ngleic leis an gceist seo le tamall fada agus géaraíodh ar a bhfeachtas i dtreo dheireadh na bliana seo caite nuair a cuireadh ceist na Gaeilge éigeantaí i lár an aonaigh arís.

“Ó bunaíodh an stát ó dheas, tá gach rialtas tar éis an fhíric a sheachaint go bhfuil an córas don Ghaeilge inár gcóras oideachais briste. Creidimid go bhfuil an t-am tagtha chun na fadhbanna a shocrú ar bhealach iomlánaíoch agus cuimsitheach,” a dúirt Aodhán Ó Deá.
