An 20 baile Gaeltachta is ‘slachtmhaire’ sa chomórtas Tidy Towns

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Is i nDún na nGall atá formhór na mbailte Gaeltachta is fearr a chruthaigh i gcomórtas Tidy Towns 2019.

De réir scagadh atá déanta ag Tuairisc.ie ar thorthaí chomórtas na mbailte slachtmhara, a foilsíodh inné, fuair ocht mbaile Gaeltachta os cionn 300 marc as 470 sa chomórtas.

Ba é an marc ab airde a fuair aon bhaile sa chomórtas, atá urraithe ag Supervalu, ná 346, an marc a fuair an baile a bhuaigh comórtas 2019, Glasloch i gcontae Mhuineacháin.

331 a fuair  Carraig Airt i nGaeltacht Dhún na nGall, a tháinig sa chéad áit sa rannóg Ghaeltachta sa chomórtas.

Ba iad na bailte Gaeltachta eile a ghnóthaigh níos mó ná 300 marc ná Béal an Mhuirthead, Co. Mhaigh Eo; an Clochán Liath, Co. Dhún na nGall; an Spidéal, Co. na Gaillimhe; Béal Átha an Ghaorthaidh, Co. Chorcaí; Loch an Iúir, Co. Dhún na nGall; Cill Charthaigh, Co. Dhún na nGall; agus an Daingean, Co. Chiarraí.

Ar na bailte nár éirigh leo áit a bhaint amach ar liosta na 20 baile Gaeltachta ‘is slachtmhaire’ bhí Ráth Chairn na Mí a fuair 272 marc, an Cheathrú Rua i gConamara, a fuair 260 marc, agus Gaoth Dobhair i nDún na nGall a ghnóthaigh 251 marc. Is ó Ghaeltacht Dhún na nGall is mó a tháinig iarratais. Iarratas amháin a bhí ann ó Ghaeltacht Chorca Dhuibhne – an Daingean – agus ní raibh aon iarratas istigh ar chomórtas na bliana seo ó Ghaeltacht Phort Láirge.
