Tá seacht scoil lán-Ghaeilge i measc an 50 iarbhunscoil ‘is fearr’ sa stát, de réir rangú an Sunday Times.

Dhá scoil lán-Ghaeilge do chailíní atá sa dá scoil is airde ar an liosta.

Tá an scoil lán-Ghaeilge Coláiste Chnoc na Labhras i Luimneach ar an iarbhunscoil ‘is fearr’ sa stát den séú bliain as a chéile, de réir rangú The Sunday Times, agus tá Coláiste Íosagáin i mBaile Átha Cliath sa dara háit ar an liosta 400 scoil.

Tá scagadh déanta ag Tuairisc.ie ar an tábla agus liosta de na 10 ngaelcholáiste agus na 10 iar-bhunscoil Ghaeltachta is fearr sa stát curtha i dtoll a chéile againn bunaithe ar an eolas a foilsíodh in The Sunday Times.

De réir, an eolais sin, tá Coláiste na Coiribe i nGaillimh sa chéad áit i gCúige Chonnacht maidir le soláthar daltaí d’institiúidí tríú leibhéal. Tá ceithre scoil Ghaeltachta eile i measc an 20 scoil ‘is fearr’ i gConnachta: Coláiste Gobnait, Inis Oírr; Scoil Phobail Mhic Dara, Carna; Coláiste Chroí Mhuire, an Spidéal; agus Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiaráin, an Cheathrú Rua. Tá Coláiste Íde sa Daingean sa tríú háit i gCúige Mumhan agus tá Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne san 18ú háit. Tá Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair sa séú háit i gCúige Uladh.

Bunaíodh na staitisticí ar eolas a bailíodh faoi líon na ndaltaí in iarbhunscoileanna uile na tíre a chuaigh ar aghaidh go dtí 32 institiúid tríú leibhéal thuaidh agus theas. 

Baineann conspóid i gcónaí le foilsiú leithéidí na dtáblaí seo agus go leor saineolaithe oideachais den tuairim gur róchúng an tslat tomhais iad chun breithiúnas a thabhairt ar chaighdeán an oideachais a chuirtear ar fáil i scoileanna na tíre.
