  • Micheál D Ó hUiginn le Gaillimh 2020 a sheoladh an mhí seo chugainn
<a-href="https://nos.ie"-class="credit-nos"-target="-blank"-rel="noopener-noreferrer"></a>-micheal-d-o-huiginn-le-gaillimh-2020-a-sheoladh-an-mhi-seo-chugainn

Micheál D Ó hUiginn le Gaillimh 2020 a sheoladh an mhí seo chugainn

Is é Uachtarán an hÉireann, Micheál D Ó hUiginn a sheolfaidh Gaillimh mar Phríomhchathair Chultúir na hEorpa an mhí seo chugainn.

Beidh an searmanas oscailte ar siúl i gCathair na dTreabh Dé Sathairn an 8 Feabhra, searmanas a bheidh saor in aisce do chách, ach roimhe sin beidh seacht lá de cheiliúradh sna bailte beaga ar fud an chontae, bailte Gaeltachta san áireamh.

Cuirfear tús leis an gceiliúradh le ‘searmanas siombalach bainte móna ar Lá Fhéile Bríde agus ón 2 Feabhra beidh féilte beaga ar siúl ar fud an chontae, agus iad ag druidim i dtreo na cathrach i gcaitheamh na seachtaine. Tá ceann de na príomhimeachtaí seo beartaithe don Spidéal i nGaeltacht Chois Fharraige.

Ar an 8 Feabhra beidh muintir na mbailte beaga, na mbailte móra agus na cathrach uilig le chéile i gcathair na Gaillimhe do mhórthaispeántas amuigh faoin aer.

Dúirt an tUachtarán Micheál D Ó hUiginn go gcuirfidh an ceiliúradh bliana “léargais uathúla Ghaillmheacha, Éireannacha agus idirnáisiúnta” ar fáil agus go mbeidh “ábharthacht uilíoch” ag baint le Gaillimh 2020.

“Níl aon amhras orm ach gur ábhar spreagtha agus múscailte a bheidh in imeachtaí na bliana seo agus, dá réir sin, go spreagfar obair bhreise chruthaitheach i nGaillimh agus níos faide i gcéin.

Tá clár Ghaillimh 2020 bunaithe ar na ceithre shéasúr a cheiliúrtaí in Éirinn fadó — Imbolc, Bealtaine, Lúnasa agus Samhain. Is ar théama ‘Imbolc’ a bheidh imeachtaí na míonna Feabhra-Aibreán bunaithe.
