Bata agus bóthar tugtha ag Johnson do Státrúnaí an Tuaiscirt, Julian Smith

Tá bata agus bóthar tugtha ag Boris Johnson do Státrúnaí an Tuaiscirt Julian Smith ar maidin.

Cé gur cheap mórán gurb é Julian Smith an Státrúnaí ab éifeachtaí ó thuaidh le tamall agus é lárnach in athbhunú an fheidhmeannais in Stormont, briseadh as a phost é mar chuid d’atheagar Johnson ar a chomh-aireacht.

Tháinig Julian Smith i gcomharbacht ar Karen Bradley mar Státrúnaí i mí Iúil 2019.

Tuairiscítear go raibh Príomh-Aire na Breataine míshásta le gnéithe áirithe den mhargadh, New Decade, New Approach, a rinneadh chun an feidhmeannas a chur ar a chosa arís, agus go raibh Johnson míshásta go háirithe faoi fhiosrúcháin a bheith beartaithe maidir le hiompar shaighdiúirí na Breataine le linn na dTrioblóidí.  Dúirt Julian Smith féin ar maidin gur “pribhléid” a bhí ann a bheith ina Státrúnaí ó thuaidh.

Serving the people of Northern Ireland has been the biggest privilege. I am extremely grateful to @BorisJohnson for giving me the chance to serve this amazing part of our country. The warmth & support from people across NI has been incredible. Thank you so much.

Ghabh Céad-Aire an Tuaiscirt Arlene Foster buíochas le Smith as a chuid oibre.

Spoke with @JulianSmithUK a short time ago to thank him for his help in getting devolution restored. We may not have always agreed (we did sometimes) but his dedication to the role was incredible. Best wishes to him and his family. Always welcome in Fermanagh. https://t.co/2hUzOWmRBS
