‘Bhí an víreas corónach orm’ – Linda Ervine

Tá ráite ag an ngníomhaí aitheanta Gaeilge as Oirthear Bhéal Feirste go ndúradh léi le deireanas go bhfuil an víreas corónach uirthi. Tuairiscíodh ar The Irish News ar maidin go raibh Linda, a bhfuil cáil uirthi as an nGaeilge a chur chun cinn i measc an phobail Aontachaigh i mBéal Feirste, tinn trí seachtaine anuas.

Tá Linda ina hoifigeach forbartha Gaeilge san East Belfast Mission, ionad atá dúnta le cúpla seachtain anuas mar gheall ar an víreas céanna.

Dúirt sí ar na meáin shóisialta go raibh an víreas ar ghaol léi agus gur airigh sí féin tinn cúig lá i ndiaidh di a bheith i dteagmháil leis an duine sin. Labhair sí lena dochtúir teaghlaigh, agus dúradh léi gur dócha ná a mhalairt go raibh an víreas corónach uirthi.

“Dhúisigh mé De Máirt an 24 Márta agus mé iontach te, mo cheann ag éadromú, agus masmas agus buinneach orm. Bhí na comharthaí sóirt ba mheasa imithe taobh istigh d’uair an chloig ach fágadh tinn mé ar feadh cúpla lá, gan aon ghoile agam, buinneach agus tinneas cinn orm, agus srón plúchta agus sceadamán nimhneach.

“An tráthnóna sin, bhí mé iontach te arís ach ní raibh aon tinneas orm. Ar feadh cuid den lá, nó ar feadh roinnt laethanta, bhraith mé nach raibh aon rud orm. An Luan dar gcionn, an 30, dhúisigh mé arís agus na comharthaí sóirt céanna orm — an teas, an masmas agus an buinneach,” a dúirt sí.

Lean an tinneas ar aghaidh go dtí Domhnach Cásca ach deir Linda anois go bhfuil sí ag aireachtáil “go breá”.
