‘thar-am-ag-foras-na-gaeilge-an-rud-ceart-agus-cothrom-a-dheanamh-faoi-ghrupai-pobail’-–-conradh-na-gaeilge

‘Thar am ag Foras na Gaeilge an rud ceart agus cothrom a dhéanamh faoi ghrúpaí pobail’ – Conradh na Gaeilge

Deir Uachtarán Chonradh na Gaeilge go bhfuil sé “thar am” ag Foras na Gaeilge “an rud ceart agus cothrom” a dhéanamh agus tuilleadh maoinithe a chur ar fáil do ghrúpaí pobail Ghaeilge atá ag brath ar scéim de chuid an Fhorais.

Tá €55,000 á éileamh ag na grúpaí atá ag brath ar an Scéim Pobal Gaeilge (SPG) le go mbeidís in ann duine a fhostú cúig lá na seachtaine in áit ceithre lá, mar a bhí orthu a dhéanamh ó rinneadh ciorrú ar an scéim reatha in 2016.

Bhíodh €80,000 ar fáil do ghrúpaí a bhí ag feidhmiú faoin scéim chéanna agus deir Conradh na Gaeilge gur éileamh “réasúnta” atá ann €55,000 a chur ar fáil don 22 grúpa atá á maoiniú faoin scéim.

Dúirt Uachtarán Chonradh na Gaeilge, Niall Comer, go bhfuil an Scéim Pobal Gaeilge ar na scéimeanna Gaeilge “is luachmhaire” atá á maoiniú ag Foras na Gaeilge.

Dúirt Niall Comer go raibh “sochar suntasach sóisialta agus áitiúil ar infheistíocht; infheistíocht a bhí, go stairiúil, teoranta agus íseal”.

Dúirt sé go raibh €55,000 á éileamh do gach grúpa, rud a ligfeadh dóibh “filleadh agus feidhmiú go héifeachtach ar sheachtain oibre cúig lá. Dúirt sé nár cheart idirdhealú a dhéanamh idir grúpaí atá lonnaithe i gceantair a bhfuil Líonraí Gaeilge nó Bailte Seirbhíse Gaeltachta iontu agus grúpaí eile.

Chuir Foras na Gaeilge tús le próiseas comhairliúcháin i dtaca leis an Scéim Pobal Gaeilge bliain ó shin.

Mhol Conradh na Gaeilge ag Comhchoiste Oireachtais na Gaeilge go gcuirfeadh na hairí Gaeltachta brú ar Fhoras na Gaeilge ceann de na ciorruithe “is suaracha” a cuireadh i bhfeidhm ar obair na Gaeilge sa phobal riamh a tharraingt siar.

Dúirt Ard-Rúnaí Chonradh na Gaeilge ag an chruinniú coiste sa Dáil anuraidh go mbeadh “ceist ann” faoinarbh é Foras na Gaeilge an “meicníocht is fearr le maoiniú a dháileadh sa phobal” mura dtiocfadh ardú ar mhaoiniú ghrúpaí na scéime.
