Sa Cobblestone a bheidh an chéad Pop Up Gaeltacht iar-Chovid

| NÓS Suíomh Gréasáin | ,

Beidh an Pop Up Gaeltacht ar siúl i mBaile Átha Cliath den chéad uair ó fógraíodh an chéad dianghasáil i mí Mhárta na bliana 2020 sa Cobblestone an mhí seo chugainn. D’fhógair lucht an Pop Up Gaeltacht ar na meáin shóisialta go deireanach aréir gur sa teach tábhairne aitheanta i Margadh na Feirme a bheadh an chéad ócáid iar-Covid acu.

Ar ndóigh tá an Cobblestone go mór i mbéal an phobail faoi láthair mar gheall ar an scéala go bhfuil sé i gceist ag úinéirí an tsuímh na foirgnimh bhéal dorais a leagan agus óstán a chur ina n-áit. Tá Cobblestone féin faoi chosaint dlí ach níl an láthair caite tobac ná an t-ionad ceoil agus tá imní ann go leagfar iad sin mar chuid den athfhorbairt atá beartaithe.

Maíonn bunaitheoirí an Pop Up Gaeltacht, Osgur Ó Ciardha agus Peadar Ó Caomhánaigh, gur “ócáid foinse-oscailte” é an Pop Up Gaeltacht – is é sin le rá gur féidir le duine ar bith in áit ar bith an t-ainm a úsáid agus ócáid dá leithéid a eagrú – aithnítear go coitianta na hoícheanta sóisialta a d’eagraíodh an bheirt fhear go míosúil san ardchathair ina n-ócáidí leathoifigiúla. Reáchtáladh Pop Up Gaeltacht-anna eile, ar-líne agus san fhíorshaol, ó tugadh na chéad srianta isteach 19 mí ó shin, ach seo an chéad ócáid a eagraíodh trí chuntais oifigiúla an Pop Up ó mhí Mhárta 2020.

Bhí Pop Up Gaeltacht mór beartaithe don teach tábhaire Anseo ar Shráid Camden ar an taobh ó dheas de Bhaile Átha Cliath don 13 Márta 2020, deireadh seachtaine na Féile Pádraig, ach d’fhógair Taoiseach na linne, Leo Varadkar, an tráthnóna roimhe sin go ndúnfaí na scoileanna go n-iarrfaí ar dhaoine obair ón mbaile, agus go ndúnfaí na tithe tábhairne ar fud an stáit.

Fágann sé sin gurbh é an ócáid a réachtáladh ar an 27 Feabhra 2020 in Jack Nealon’s Pub 589 lá ó shin a chruinnigh Gaeil na hardchathrach le chéile, chun ól, like.

Beidh Pop Up Gaeltacht na Samhna ar siúl ar an 25 Samhain sa Cobblestone ag 20:00.
