€6.3 milliún breise le cur ar fáil ag an Rialtas don Ghaeilge agus don Ghaeltacht an bhliain seo chugainn

An tAire Caiteachais Phoiblí, Paschal Donohoe

Tá €6.3 milliún breise le cur ar fáil ag an Rialtas don Ghaeilge agus don Gaeltacht an bhliain seo chugainn agus Buiséad 2025 fógartha.

Ardú 6% ar an maoiniú a fógraíodh do Roinn na Gaeltachta faoi bhuiséad na bliana caite agus ciste €107 milliún san iomlán le bheith ag an Roinn in 2025.

Agus an Buiséad á fhógairt sa Dáil inniu, dúirt an tAire Caiteachais Phoiblí go gcuirfí an t-airgead ar fáil chun “réimse leathan tacaíochtaí a chur ar fáil do phobal labhartha na Gaeilge sa Ghaeltacht agus lasmuigh di” agus go raibh “ár gcultúr, ár dteanga agus ár n-ealaíontóirí ag croílár ár sochaí”.

Tá sé fógartha ag Aire na Gaeltachta Catherine Martin go bhfuil €2.25 milliún breise le cur ar fáil do scéimeanna tacaíochta teanga agus go mbeidh €1.9 milliún breise ar fáil freisin d’Údarás na Gaeltachta in 2025.

D’fhógair an tAire Martin go bhfuil buiséad TG4 le hardú ó €57 milliún go dtí €60 milliún an bhliain seo chugainn.

Buiséad iomlán €1.272 billiún atá le cur ar fáil don Roinn Turasóireachta, Cultúir, Ealaíon, Gaeltachta, Spóirt agus Meán. Is ionann an €107 milliún atá le caitheamh ar chúrsaí Gaeilge agus Gaeltachta agus 8% de bhuiséad iomlán na Roinne, an sciar is lú d’aon cheann de na rannáin a thagann faoi scáth na Roinne.

Tá €380 milliún, 30% de bhuiséad na Roinne, le caitheamh ar chúrsaí cultúir agus ealaíon in 2025. Tá €140 milliún den airgead le cur i dtreo na Comhairle Ealaíon. Dúirt an tAire Martin go raibh an maoiniú do chúrsaí ealaíon agus cultúir nach mór dúbailte ó ceapadh ina haire í féin ceithre bliana ó shin.

€328 milliún (26% de bhuiséad na Roinne) atá le caitheamh ar na meáin, €226 milliún (18%) a chuirfear ar leataobh do chúrsaí turasóireachta agus €231 milliún (18%) a fógraíodh don spórt.

Bhí lucht feachtais agus an freasúra ag súil le buiséad i bhfad níos uaillmhianaí ó thaobh na teanga de.

De réir an bhuiséid mhalartaigh a d’fhógair Sinn Féin an tseachtain seo caite chuirfidís pacáiste €63.2 milliún breise ar fáil don Ghaeilge agus don Ghaeltacht, i bhfad níos mó ná mar atá fógartha ag an Rialtas inniu.

Ar na príomhéilimh a bhí ag an gConradh mar chuid dá bhfeachtas réamhbhuiséid, bhí, go gcuirfeadh an Rialtas na milliúin bhreise ar fáil d’Údarás na Gaeltachta, do Roinn na Gaeilge, d’Fhoras na Gaeilge agus do TG4.

Roinnte idir €6.9 billiún don chaiteachas poiblí agus €1.4 billiún do chiorruithe agus leasuithe cánach atá an buiséad a d’fhógair an tAire Airgeadais, Jack Chambers agus an tAire Caiteachais Phoiblí, Paschal Donohoe inniu.
