Ag labhairt Gaeilge le do gharpháistí

Nuair a labhraíonn tú le páiste as Gaeilge, tá tú ag tabhairt buntaiste luachmhar
dó/di a d’fhéadfadh cabhrú leis/léi:

  • Foghlaim conas léamh agus comhaireamh
  • Teangacha nua a fhoghlaim
  • Scileanna cumarsáide a fhorbairt
  • Post a fháil amach anseo
  • Cairde nua a dhéanamh
  • A bheith páirteach i nglúin nua cainteoirí Gaeilge
  • Féiniúlacht a threisiú

4 rud simplí gur féidir a dhéanamh le Gaeilge a roinnt le do ghárpháistí:

  1. Úsáid frásaí simplí Gaelacha i rith an lae. ‘Oíche Mhaith’ seachas ‘Goodnight’, ‘Go raibh maith agat’ seachas ‘Thank You‘, ‘Maith an Buachaill/Cailín’ seachas ‘Good Boy/Girl‘, ‘Slán’ seachas ‘Goodbye‘ srl.
  2. Léigh leabhar Gaeilge ag am codlata. Tá neart leabhair álainne ann agus ní fágfar ag lorg frasaí thú!
  3. Éist le raidió Gaelach cosúil le Raidió na Gaeltachta/Raidió na Life nó Raidió Rí Rá agus breathnaigh ar TG4. Cabhróidh sé seo le sealbhú teanga agus foghraíocht.
  4. Cruthaigh lipéidí simplí le crochadh timpeall an tí agus iad ar cuairt – Doras, Bosca Bruscar, Fuinneog, Staighre, Ríomhaire, Tolg, Cathaoir, Bord, srl – níl deireadh leis an liosta! Bain úsáid as www.focloir.ie le teacht ar aistriúcháin.
