The Disco vibes will be truly lit this time around and we are over the moon to be able to invite you along to potentially the biggest Disco Anocht yet.
Le déanaí, tá cliú agus cáil bainte amach ag Kelly-Anne Byrne mar cheann dos na DJanna is fearr ar an raidió agus in Éirinn. Thosaigh an scéal 17 bliain ó shin nuair a chuir sí Mix-Tape isteach i DIce Bar. Ón bpointe sin tá sí tar éis daoine a cuir ag damhsa ó gach cúinne na tíre sna clubanna oíche agus agus ag na féiltí is mó sa tír, Electric Picnic, Longitude, Indiependence, Sea Sessions, Metropolis, All Together Now agus Forbidden Fruit san áireamh. Seinneann sí le Mother go míosúil freisin. Thosaigh sí ag seinnt ar an raidió sa bhliain 2013 ar an stáisiún Phantom 105.2 agus ainmníodh í don duais DJ raidio is fearr sa tír sa bhliain 2015 ar a seó ar TXFM. Tá seó aicí faoi láthair ar Today FM chuile Dé Sathairn agus Dé Domhnaigh, The Beat Goes On ná ainm an seo seo.
Sa bhliain 2015, fuair Kelly-Anne an deis seinnt leis na laochra ceoil Chic ag na Iveagh Gardens, rud a chuaigh go mór i bhfeidhm uirthi toisc go bhfuil an chuid ama cuirthe isteach aice sa cheoil Disco.
In recent years Kelly-Anne Byrne has earned a reputation as one of the finest selectors on the air waves and one of Ireland’s top djs. Her dj career began 17 years ago when a large vinyl collection and a love of soul and disco prompted her to drop a mix tape into The Dice Bar. From that point on she has been entertaining crowds from all over the country with top slots at all of Ireland’s festivals including, Electric Picnic, Longitude, Indiependence, Sea Sessions, Metropolis, All Together Now and Forbidden Fruit. Kelly-Anne appears regularly at Dublin’s top clubs, including a monthly residency at Mother. In February 2013 she began presenting The Saturday Weekender on Phantom 105.2 which earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at the PPI Radio Awards. She presented the evening show on TXFM for two years which also saw her nominated for Best Radio DJ in 2015. She currently presents The Beat Goes On on Saturdays and Sundays on Today FM (named ‘the Best Show on Irish Radio’ by Jim Carroll in The Ticket) and won silver for Best Specialist Broadcaster in 2016. In the summer of 2015 Kelly-Anne got to share the stage with her music heroes Chic when she supported them at Iveagh Gardens, a dream come true for someone who has spent much of their life being dedicated to disco.
It’s safe to say that this Disco is going to be a special one.
