‘Cúrsa Gaeltachta sa Bhaile’ ar an Iompú Deiseal, Fear Manach

| Dáithí Anraí |

Cuireadh meascán idir campa samhraidh agus cúrsa Gaeltachta ar siúl ar feadh 5 lá in Ionad Pobail an Iompú Deiseal i bhFear Manach den chéad uair i mbliana, é dírithe ar pháiste ón cheantar féin.

D’éirigh go hiontach leis an champa agus táthar ag súil go mbeidh sé ina ócáid bhliantúil as seo amach. D’fhreastail 70 páiste ar na himeachtaí, idir pháistí bunscoile agus pháistí meánscoile, rud a léiríonn an t-éileamh agus an tsuim atá ann sa teanga sa dúiche trí chéile.

Ba pháistí ó scoileanna Béarla den chuid is mó a d’fhreastail ar an champa mar sin bhí béim ar na bunghnéithe d’fhoghlaim na Gaeilge.

Bhuail Meon Eile isteach chucu ar an Déardaoin agus na páistí agus na múinteoirí sna ranganna Gaeilge agus ag foghlaim an cheoil Ghaelaigh sa tráthnóna. Bhí an deis againn labhairt le Ciarán Mag Uidhir, príomhoide an chúrsa, agus le hOdhrán, leaid óg a d’fhreastail ar an champa.

Is é an club áitiúil CLG Mhic Uidhir, An t-Iompú Deiseal, a d’eagraigh ‘Cúrsa Gaeltachta sa Bhaile’ agus cuireadh maoiniú ar fáil ó Fhoras na Gaeilge agus ó Chomhairle Ceantair Fhear Manach agus na hÓmaí.
