    Saoirse Exton: Imeacht Aeráide

    @ Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin

    Seachtain na Gaeilge with Energia

Déanfaidh gníomhaí ceartais aeráide Saoirse Exton (18) ó Luimneach ceardlann a éascú don chlub óige agus an mórphobal áitiúil chun eolas, suim agus dlúthpháirtíocht s’acu a ardú ó thaobh cúrsaí timpeallachta de trí mhodhanna ealaíonta. Chuaigh sí ar stailc ón scoil in 2019 nuair a bhunaigh sí grúpa áitiúil den ghluaiseacht An Aoine an Todhchaí. Ceapann Saoirse go gcaithimid ár ngeilleagar idirnáisiúnta a athrú chun troid in aghaidh smaointe coilíneacha a chuireann brabús roimh leas na ndaoine agus an pláinéad.

Climate activist Saoirse Exton (18) from Limerick will facilitate a workshop for the youth club and the local public to encourage knowledge, interest and participation in climate issues through artistic means.  She went on strike from school in 2019 when she founded the local branch of the movement Future Friday. Saoirse believes that we must change our international economy to fight against colonial mindsets that place profit before the benefit of the people and the planet.
