Taispeántas ‘Death of Intent’ bunaithe ar ‘Cré na Cille’

| Dáithí Anraí | ,

Osclaíodh taispeántas leis an ealaíontóir áitiúil agus buaiteoir Ghradam Dillon, Jack Dorian, sa Chultúrlann i mBéal Feirste ar na mallaibh.

Tá an taispeántas seo bunaithe ar shaothar Mháirtín Uí Chadhain ‘Cré na Cille’ agus amharcann sé ar an dóigh a ndéanann ealaín aithris ar an saol agus ar an dóigh ar minic a dhéanann an saol aithris ar na healaíona.

Tá an t-úrscéal beagnach go hiomlán scríofa mar chomhrá i measc na marbh i reilig i gConamara. Tá an chaint lán de chúlchaint, ráflaí, faltanas, agus spallaíocht.

Mheall an t-úrscéal clú mór i saol na Gaeilge ach níor foilsíodh aistriúchán Béarla de go dtí an bhliain 2016.

Ba iad na haistriúcháin sin a las suim Jack Dorian sa leabhar agus é ag staidéar thar lear agus a spreag é le taispeántas a chur le chéile.

Deir an t-ealaíontóir go léiríonn na dealbha cré atá cruthaithe aige an easpa tuigbhéala idir na príomhcharachtair san úrscéal.

Creimfidh na dealbha cré seo síos de réir a chéile, agus básfaidh na bláthanna agus plandaí atá le sonrú fite fuaite fríd na coirp, rud atá ina mheafar ar an lobhadh cumarsáide sa leabhar, chomh maith leis an choincheap a bhaineann le ‘deireadh nó bás ceart’ a bheith ag na carachtair, a mhothaigh Dorian a bheith tuilte acu.
