Leabharlann nua Ghaeilge in Oirthear Beál Feirste

| Dáithí Anraí | ,

Ón lá a bunaíodh Turas, in 2012, tá an eagraíocht Ghaeilge in Oirthear Bhéal Feirste ag dul ó neart go neart, ag nascadh an chultúir Ghaelaigh agus na hoibre pobail chun daoine nua a mhealladh i dtreo na teanga, daoine nach mbeadh an oiread sin teagmhála acu leis an Ghaeilge roimhe sin.

An chéim is úire atá tógtha ag Linda Ervine agus na hoibrithe eile ná leabharlann Ghaeilge a bhunú san Ionad Skainos ar Bhóthar Bhaile Nua na hArda. Faoi lathair tá níos mó ná 2,000 leabhar ar na seilfeanna agus spás le chóir a bheith 2,000 leabhar eile.

An sprioc leis an leabhar ná acmhainní a chur ar fáil do na foghlaimeoirí agus spás suaimhneach compordach a thógail a sholáthar d’aon duine atá ag déanamh staidéar ar an Ghaeilge agus ar an chultúr gaolmhar.

Thug Meon Eile cuairt ar an leabharlann nua agus labhair muid le foireann Turas, Linda Ervine, Jim McAuley agus Gordon McCoy.

Tá fáilte roimh gach duine bualadh isteach sa leabharlann agus molann muid go mór don phobal cuairt a thabhairt uirthi.
