An Siopa Leabhar le dúnadh go hiomlán ‘ar feadh píosa’

Tá an Siopa Leabhar ar Shráid Fhearchair i mBaile Átha Cliath le dúnadh go huile is go hiomlán mar gheall ar an ordú nua a d’fhógair an Taoiseach Leo Varadkar aréir. Dhún an siopa féin breis agus seachtain ó shin nuair a fógraíodh na beartais éigeandála in aghaidh scaipeadh an víris chorónaigh ar dtús, ach bhí oibrithe an tsiopa ag obair taobh thiar den doras glasáilte le horduithe a chur sa bpost.

Go deimhin, bhí feachtas mór ar bun acu ag tús na géarchéime inar impíodh ar chustaiméirí orduithe a chur isteach ar an siopa ar líne sa gcaoi is go bhféadfaí an siopa a choinneáil ag imeacht le linn na héigeandála.

De réir na mbeartas nua a fógraíodh aréir, ní ceadmhach d’ionaid oibre nach bhfuil “ríthábhachtach” leanacht ar aghaidh. Fágann sé sin nach ceadmhach d’oibrithe an tsiopa dul go Sráid Fhearchair le leabhair a bhurláil agus a chur sa bpost.

D’fhógair foireann an tsiopa ar na meáin shóisialta tráthnóna gur gá dóibh “dúnadh go hiomlán ar feadh píosa, de réir mar a d’fhógair an rialtas aréir”.

“Tá sé de dhualgas [orainn] ar fad gníomhú i gcoinne [leathnú] an víris seo. Ní bheimid in an aon orduithe a chomhlíonadh go ceann tamaill. Má cheannaigh tú rud le déanaí agus mura bhfuair tú ríomhphost ag deimhniú gur críochnaíodh an t-ordú, beimid i dteagmháil le custaiméirí duine ar dhuine ar an Luan. Faoin am sin táimid ag súil go mbeidh tuiscint níos fearr againn ar a bhfuil i ndán don siopa,” a dúradh sa ráiteas a eisíodh inniu.

Tá éiginnteacht mhór ann faoina bhfuil i ndán do mhiondíoltóirí ar fud na tíre.
