Ceathrar maraithe i dtimpiste ar mhótarbhealach an M6 in aice le Béal Átha na Sluaighe

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Maraíodh ceathrar i dtimpiste ar mhótarbhealach an M6 in aice leis an bPoll Buí, gar do Bhéal Átha na Sluaighe, Co na Gaillimhe, ag 7.40pm tráthnóna inné. Trí cinn de ghluaisteáin a bhí sa timpiste agus iad ar fad ar an taobh céanna den mhótarbhealach, ag tarraingt anoir i dtreo an iarthair.

Bhásaigh an ceathrar ar an láthair agus tugadh na coirp chuig Ospidéal Portiuncula i mBéal Átha na Sluaighe áit a gcuirfear scrúduithe iarbháis orthu.  Bhí triúr díobh siúd a maraíodh in aon charr amháin agus an ceathrú duine i gceann de na carranna eile. Tuairiscítear duine amháin eile, a bhí sa tríú gluaisteán, a bheith gortaithe ach gan aon bhaol báis ar an duine dá bharr.

Tá dhá thaobh an mhótarbhealaigh – soir agus siar – dúnta ag na Gardaí faoi láthair fad is atá scrúduithe teicniúla ar siúl acu ag ionad na timpiste. Tá an trácht á chur ar mhalairt slí sa cheantar.

Tá achainí déanta ag na Gardaí ar aon duine a chonaic an timpiste ag tarlú nó a bhfuil físeáin ó cheamara deaise acu den mhótarbhealach ag an am teagmháil a dhéanamh leo ag stáisiún Gardaí Bhéal Átha na Sluaighe ar an uimhir 090-9631890 nó ag aon stáisiún eile de chuid an Gharda Síochána.
