Mac léinn ó Chonamara ag seasamh i bhfothoghchán an tSeanaid

| Tuairisc.ie | , ,

Tá fear as Gaeltacht Chonamara ar dhuine de na hiarrthóirí d’fhothoghchán an tSeanaid d’Ollscoil Bhaile Átha Cliath.

Tá Ryan Alberto Ó Giobúin, a tógadh i dteaghlach Éireannach-Meicsiceach i gCamas i gConamara, ar dhuine de na hiarrthóirí sa toghchán atá á reáchtáil chun an folúntas a d’fhág Ivana Bacik nuair a toghadh ise chun na Dála a líonadh.

Tá Ó Giobúin, cainteoir líofa Gaeilge a d’fhreastail ar Choláiste Chroí Mhuire ar an Spidéal, i mbun PhD sa tSocheolaíocht Chainníochtúil i gColáiste na Tríonóide, Baile Átha Cliath.

Tá cúrsaí oideachais mar thosaíocht aige agus é ráite aige go bhfuil sé ag iarraidh dul i ngleic leis an “éagothroime” atá san oideachas agus tacú le mic léinn.

Bhí go dtí an tseachtain seo caite ag iarrthóirí lena n-ainm a chur chun cinn agus seacht nduine dhéag ar fad atá ag seasamh sa toghchán don suíochán.

Ina measc, tá Hazel Chu, iar-ardmhéara Bhaile Átha Cliath; an t-iarimreoir rugbaí Hugo MacNeill; Tom Clonan, a nocht scéal faoi chultúr leithcheala agus ciaptha gnéis in Óglaigh na hÉireann; Ray Bassett, iarambasadóir de chuid na hÉireann, Patricia McKenna, iarFheisire Eorpach; agus Maureen Gaffney, an síceolaí agus údar aitheanta.

Seolfar na páipéir bhallóide ar an 25 Feabhra chuig nach mór 70,000 duine atá cláraithe chun vóta a chaitheamh sa toghchán. Beidh go dtí an 30 Márta ag daoine lena vóta a chaitheamh.
