‘Céim chun cinn’ na fógraí nua fuaime i nGaeilge ar sheirbhís bus Glider

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

D’fháiltigh John O’Dowd, Aire Infreastruchtúr Stormont roimh na fógraí nua fuaime i nGaeilge ar sheirbhís bus Glider iarthar Bhéal Feirste agus dúirt gur “céim dhearfach chun cinn” a bhí ann.

Cuireadh tús inné leis an tseirbhís nua agus uaidh seo amach fógrófar “an chéad stop eile” ó lár Bhéal Feirste siar go ceantair Bhóthar McKinstry agus Colin in dhá theanga, Gaeilge agus Béarla.

Sa mbliain 2018 a tugadh isteach an córas Glider i mBéal Feirste agus an bhliain seo caite a tosaíodh ag cur comharthaí Gaeilge suas ar bhealach iarthar Bhéal Feirste.

Chuir an grúpa forbartha Forbairt Feirste fáilte roimh na fógraí fuaime nua agus dúirt gur “céim mhaith a bhí iontu go dtí go mbeadh an Ghaeilge le feiceáil ar an gcóras poiblí iompair ar fad”.

Dúirt an tAIre John O’Dowd “go raibh go leor fós le déanamh lena chinntiú go mbeadh comhionannas ann don Ghaeilge ach nach raibh aon amhras ach gur chéim dhearfach chun cinn” a bhí sna fógraí dátheangacha.
