Féile Peile 2023

Féile Peile na nGaelscoileanna 2023

| Dáithí Anraí |

Reáchtálann Coiste Imeachtaí na nGaelscoileanna ócáidí do pháistí bunscoile i rith na mbliana. Bíonn drámaíocht, filíocht agus scríbhneoireacht i gceist ach is í an Fhéile Peile an t-imeacht a bhfuil an tóir agus an cháil is mó air.

Tagann bunscoileanna ó gach cearn de Bhéal Feirste, agus uaireanta níos faide ó bhaile, le chéile ag Sportlann na hÉireann don chomórtas Peile Gaelaí seo. Tá roinnt duaiseanna ar fáil do gach scoil, ina measc trófaithe, boinn agus turas saor in aisce go dtí an Ghaeltacht i nDún na nGall.

Is í aidhm na n-imeachtaí ná páistí a spreagadh chun a gcuid Gaeilge a úsáid taobh amuigh den seomra ranga i dtimpeallacht spraíúil inar féidir leo idirghníomhú le páistí ó scoileanna éagsúla.

Is é Corn Uí Mhuirí, atá ainmnithe as an pheileadóir áitiúil Liam Ó Muirí, príomhchorn na hócáide. Cuireann an Fhéile Peile an dhá mhórspéis a bhí ag Liam chun cinn, is iad sin an Pheil Ghaelach agus an Ghaeilge.

Thug Meon Eile cuairt ar dhá imeacht de chuid na Féile Peile i mbliana, an seoladh inar thug máthair Liam Uí Mhuirí óráid agus an príomhchomórtas chomh maith. Labhair muid le Pádraig Mac Cathail, cathaoirleach Choiste Imeachtaí na nGaelscoileanna, agus le Niamh Ní Dhochartaigh ó Ghaelscoil Éanna, mar aon le roinnt de na páistí a bhí ag glacadh páirte ann.
