Aon duine dhéag le ceapadh ar Choiste Logainmneacha nua

Tá Coiste Logainmneacha nua le ceapadh ag Airí na Gaeltachta.

Is é is príomhchúram don Choiste Logainmneacha comhairle a chur ar an Aire Gaeltachta maidir le logainmneacha na hÉireann.

Ceapfaidh an tAire Catherine Martin agus an tAire Stáit Thomhas Byrne deichniúr ball, chomh maith le cathaoirleach, ar an gcoiste agus téarma oifige trí bliana a bheidh acu.

Ar bhonn pro bono a oibreoidh an Coiste Logainmneacha agus is é an Príomhoifigeach Logainmneacha sa Roinn Turasóireachta, Cultúir, Ealaíon, Gaeltachta, Spóirt agus Meán a bheidh ina rúnaí ar an gCoiste.

Dúradh i ráiteas ón Roinn go mbeadh an coiste ag díriú as seo go ceann cúpla bliain ar dhréachtorduithe logainmneacha do chontaetha áirithe – Laois, Ceatharlach, Sligeach, Longfort, Maigh Eo, Gaillimh, Loch Garman agus Liatroim.

Dúirt an tAire Catherine Martin gur údar sásaimh di go raibh na forálacha sa reachtaíocht teanga a bhaineann le cúrsaí logainmneacha á dtabhairt isteach.

“Is breá an rud é go bhfuil daoine oilte a bhfuil saineolas acu ar an réimse seo ar fáil dúinn le haghaidh an Choiste Logainmneacha nua atá á bhunú faoin reachtaíocht seo.

“Agus an Coiste nua ar an bhfód, beidh mo Roinn in ann dlús a chur le hullmhú na n-orduithe logainmneacha ionas go mbeidh toradh ar obair thaighde an Bhrainse Logainmneacha le feiceáil go follasach ag an bpobal.”
