Athruithe suntasacha i ndán do chomórtas Ghlór na nGael

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Tá athruithe curtha ar chomórtas forbartha pobail Ghlór na nGael, atá á reáchtáil ag an eagraíocht teanga ó 1961, le deis iomaíochta níos fearr a thabhairt do choistí beaga agus do choistí nuabhunaithe.

De réir na leasuithe sin, a thiocfaidh i bhfeidhm do chomórtas na bliana seo chugainn,  beidh struchtúr nua marcála i gceist.

Beidh marcanna á mbronnadh feasta ar choistí atá ag plé le réimse amháin ar leith den fhorbairt pobal teanga ina measc, an óige, an teaghlach, oideachas, sláinte agus cúrsaí comhshaoil.

Roimhe seo bhíodh na marcanna a d’fhaigheadh coistí bunaithe ar réimse iomlán oibre seachas ar ghné amháin d’fhorbairt pobail.

Agus an leagan úr de chomórtais Ghael Linn á fhógairt le déanaí, dúirt Cathaoirleach Ghlór na nGael, Pat Carey go gcuirfí fáilte roimh thuilleadh coistí le bheith páirteach sna comórtais.

“Cinnteoidh an comórtas nua seo go mbeidh deis ag gach coiste, beag nó mór, bídís faoin tuath, sa Ghaeltacht nó i suíomh uirbeach a bheith san iomaíocht do dhuais náisiúnta. Osclaíonn sé an comórtas do chách,” a dúirt sé.

Ag labhairt dó le Tuairisc.ie, dúirt Eoghan Mac Cormaic, Leas-Cheanasaí Ghlór na nGael, go raibh gá leis an athbhreithniú a rinneadh ar na comórtais.

“Mhothaigh muid le tamaill go raibh laghdú ar líon na mbuaiteoirí náisiúnta agus go raibh na duaiseanna móra ag dul chuig na grúpaí céanna. Bhí coistí eile ag cailleadh misnigh maidir leis an chomórtas,” a dúirt sé.

Bronnfar ocht nduais, ar fiú €5,000 iad, chomh maith le duaiseanna eile.

Is mar thoradh ar phróiseas comhairliúcháin á reáchtáladh le tuairimí an phobail a bhailiú maidir leis an chomórtas a rinneadh na leasuithe seo.

An bheirt sagart, Pádraig Ó Fiannachta agus Tomás Ó Fiaich, a chuir tús le comórtas Ghlór na nGael agus é mar aidhm acu an Ghaeilge a spreagadh i measc an phobail. Duaischiste £100 punt a bhí ar fáil don tír ar fad nuair a bunaíodh an comórtas i 1961. Bíonn táille iontrála €100 le híoc ag coistí ar mian leo dul san iomaíocht i gComórtas Ghlór na nGael.

Tá leabhrán eolais a dhéanann cur síos ar an leagan amach nua ar fáil anseo
