Beag dóchas ag Stiúrthóir Oireachtas na Gaeilge go mbeidh mórfhéile na nGael ar siúl i mbliana

| Tuairisc.ie |

Tá gach seans ann nach mbeidh Oireachtas na Gaeilge ar siúl i mbliana.

Dúirt Stiúrthóir Oireachtas na Gaeilge Liam Ó Maolaodha gur beag dóchas atá aige go mbeidh Oireachtas na Samhna, atá in ainm is a bheith ar siúl mar chuid de Ghaillimh 2020, ar siúl.

Ag labhairt dó le Nuacht TG4, dúirt Liam Ó Maolaodha go raibh éiginnteacht mhór ann faoina bhfuil i ndán don fhéile is mó i saol na Gaeilge.

Thug Liam Ó Maolaodha le fios go mbeadh dhá rogha ann sa chás nach mbeadh aon Oireachtas na Samhna i mbliana ann; d’fhéadfaí é a eagrú sa Ghaillimh in earrach na bliana seo chugainn, nó é “a ligean le sruth go hiomlán”.

“Nuair a thosaigh an ghéarchéim seo, cheap muid go mb’fhéidir go mbeadh cúrsaí slán go maith faoi mhí Dheireadh Fómhair, ach tá sin an-éiginnte faoi láthair,” arsa Ó Maolaodha le Nuacht TG4.

Ag fanacht ar threoir ón Rialtas maidir leis an tsláinte phoiblí atá coiste an Oireachtais faoi láthair, a dúirt Ó Maolaodha.

Ach ní dea-chomhartha é na hócáidí móra poiblí eile ar fad atá á gcur ar ceal, a dúirt sé.

Tá cosc fógartha ag an Rialtas ar mhórócáidí ag a mbíonn níos mó ná 5,000 duine i láthair acu go dtí deireadh mhí Lúnasa ar a laghad.

Ach fiú dá mbeadh an cosc sin imithe faoi mhí na Samhna seans go mbeadh an dochar déanta, dar le Liam Ó Maolaodha.

“Is ar éigean Dé a bheidh cead ag óstáin agus tithe tábhairne a bheith oscailte faoin tráth sin. Chaithfeadh cinneadh a bheith déanta ag an Oireachtas ar an gcéad lá de Lúnasa ar a dhéanaí.”
