Pingin ar bith de dheontas caipitil £156 milliún faighte ag gaelscoileanna Dhoire

| Tuairisc.ie |

Tá díomá ar lucht an ghaeloideachais go háirithe faoi chinneadh gan aon deontas caipitil a thabhairt d’aon scoil i nDoire, a deir comhalta Thionól Thuaisceart Éireann.

D’fhógair an tAire Oideachais Peter Weir maoiniú £156 milliún do scoileanna i dTuaisceart Éireann an tseachtain seo, ach ní raibh scoil ar bith i nDoire ar an liosta.

Dúirt Karen Mullan, MLA agus urlabhraí oideachais Shinn Féin, gur bocht an scéal é nach bhfuil aon airgead breise curtha ar fáil do scoileanna lán-Ghaeilge Dhoire, go háirithe agus infheistíocht ag teastáil go géar uathu.

“Dea-scéal atá ann do na scoileanna ar éirigh leo deontais a fháil, ach beidh díomá ar go leor i mo chathair féin faoin chinneadh, go háirithe earnáil an ghaeloideachais” arsa Mullan.

“Tá trí scoil againn sa chathair atá ag feidhmiú trí Ghaeilge agus atá lonnaithe i bhfoirgnimh sealadacha, mar dhea, le 15-30 bliain anuas.”

Thug sí cuireadh don Aire Oideachais cuairt a thabhairt ar na scoileanna chun na dúshláin atá acu a phlé.

Dúirt an tAire Weir gur thuig sé go mbeadh díomá ar scoileanna a chaill amach ar na deontais ach go raibh sé sásta cruinniú a bheith aige le lucht an ghaeloideachais chun an scéal a phlé agus fiosrú an bhféadfaí teacht ar shocrú.
