Scrúdú cainte roghnach do dhaltaí GCSE agus Ardleibhéil ar an bhliain seo chugainn

| 1 |
An tseachtain seo caite dúradh le daltaí GCSE agus Ardleibhéil nach mbeadh aon iallach orthu an scrúdú cainte a dhéanamh i gcás teangacha. Ní gá an modúl cainte a dhéanamh ach, má dhéanfar é, piocfar an marc is airde idir na modúil eile a rinneadh.

Labhair Fearghal Mag Uiginn agus Niall Comer le Meon Eile ar an ábhar.

I ráiteas a thug CCEA le Meon Eile, dúradh:

“The option to allow the omission of the oral (speaking) assessment has been taken as a means of reducing the assessment burden on languages students following a year of disrupted learning.  It should be noted that these assessments are also the ones most affected if there is a deterioration in the public health situation over the next 12 months.  This decision therefore provides a degree of certainty for students as they prepare for the 2021-22 academic year.

“In line with the Minister’s statement on 17 May, there is an expectation that all content will continue to be covered, therefore the oral (speaking) unit will continue to be taught for CCEA GCSE and A level Modern Languages. This is to ensure all students benefit from speaking the language and that they are appropriately prepared to progress to the next stage of their learning.”
