‘Údar uafáis’ an t-athbhreithniú ar sheirbhísí meabhairshláinte don óige i ndeisceart Chiarraí – An Taoiseach

| Tuairisc.ie | , ,

Deir an Taoiseach Micheál Martin gur “údar uafáis fíorthromchúiseach” a bhfuil in athbhreithniú a rinneadh ar sheirbhísí meabhairshláinte do pháistí  i ndeisceart Chiarraí.

Dúirt Martin nach bhféadfaí glacadh lenar tharla i gcás na seirbhísí a cuireadh ar fáil do bhreis is 1,300 páiste a bhí ag freastal ar Sheirbhísí Meabhairshláinte do Leanaí agus d’Ógánaigh Dheisceart Chiarraí, seirbhís a bhíonn á reáchtáil ag an HSE.

Dúirt Micheál Martin gur ceist “fíorthromchúiseach go deo” an scéala sa tuairisc gur deineadh dochar suntasach do 46 páiste. Bhí gá dá bharr, dúirt sé, le “athbhreithniú bunúsach” ar sheirbhísí dá leithéid sa stát go léir.

Dúirt an Taoiseach gur “drochléargas millteanach” a bhí san athbhreithniú ar na seirbhísí i ndeisceart Chiarraí.

Dhéanfaí “iniúchadh iomlán” i ndiaidh fhoilsiú na tuarascála ar gach ceann den 72 seirbhís meabhairshláinte do leanaí agus d’ógánaigh sa stát féachaint an raibh siad ag cloí leis na treoirlínte.

Bhain an t-athbhreithniú le líomhaintí gur roghnaíodh do pháistí leigheas nach raibh cuí.

Dúradh sa tuairisc a foilsíodh inniu gur chuir dochtúir a bhí ag obair leis an tseirbhís i ndeisceart Chiarraí cóir a bhí “contúirteach” ar na céadta páistí.

I measc na gcontúirtí a bhain leis an gcóir, bhí an traochadh, an maolú mothúchán, an smaointeoireacht mhall, titim mhór chun meáchain agus an míshuaimhneas.
