Boris Johnson i mbaol agus beirt dá Rialtas imithe

| Tuairisc.ie | , ,

Inniu d’éirigh beirt de Rialtas Boris Johnson as a bpostanna. D’éirigh an Seansailéir Rishi Sunak agus an Rúnaí Sláinte Sajid Javid as an Rialtas mar gheall ar an gconspóid faoin gcaoi ar caitheadh leis na líomhaintí mí-iompair i gcoinne an iarleas-Phríomh-Aoire Chris Pincher.

Agus é ag éirí as a chúraimí mar Sheansailéir dúirt Rishi Sunak go raibh an pobal ag súil go “reáchtálfaí an Rialtas go cuí, go hinniúil agus go dáiríre agus creidim gur fiú troid ar son na gcaighdeán sin agus sin an chúis go bhfuilim ag éirí as an Rialtas”.

Dúirt Sajid Javid leis an bPríomh-Aire Johnson nach bhféadfadh sé “dáiríre leanúint air sa Rialtas seo níos mó”.

Dúirt Boris Johnson gur “botún” a bhí ann an leasPhríomh-Aoireacht a thabhairt do Chris Pincher agus tuairiscí ann faoin iompar. Tugann sé go dtuigeann sé é sin anois “agus mé ag breathnú siar agus gabhaim mo leithscéal le gach duine ar chuir sin as go mór dóibh”.

Cuireadh Pincher ar fionraí mar fheisire de chuid na gCaomhach an tseachtain seo caite nuair a cuireadh ina leith go raibh sé ag crúbáil ar bheirt fhear i gclub príobháideach ar a chuid meisce. Chuir an eachtra is déanaí sin brú go leor ar Johnson a mhíniú cén t-eolas a bhí aigesean faoi Pincher sular cheap sé ina leasPhríomh-Aoire é.

Chuir iar-státseirbhíseach sinsearach, an Tiarna McDonald, i leith oifig an Phríomh-Aire nach raibh an fhírinne á hinsint.

Meastar go gcuirfidh éirí as na beirte seo ceannaireacht Boris Johnson i mbaol agus imní ar chuid de na Tóraithe faoin mbaol atá sna “botúin” seo ar fad don pháirtí.
