ni-gno-do-mo-roinn-ceist-na-marcanna-bonais-do-scrudu-nua-gaeilge,-a-deir-an-taire-oideachais

Ní gnó do mo roinn ceist na marcanna bónais do scrúdú nua Gaeilge, a deir an tAire Oideachais

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Deir an tAire Oideachais nach gnó don Roinn Oideachais é cinneadh a dhéanamh cé acu an mbeidh nó nach mbeidh marcanna bónais ag dul leis an gcúrsa Gaeilge nua Ardteiste atá beartaithe do chainteoirí líofa.

Tá lucht an ghaeloideachais ag éileamh go láidir le fada go mbeadh cúiteamh éigin ann do dhaltaí a thabharfadh faoi scrúduithe an chúrsa T1 atá beartaithe do Ghaeilge na hArdteiste.

Go dtí seo ní raibh an tAire Oideachais Norma Foley sásta aon tuairim a thabhairt faoin gceist ach deir sí anois nach mbaineann ceist na marcanna bónais lena roinn féin in aon chor. Deir Foley gur ceist í don Roinn Breisoideachais agus Ardoideachais, Taighde, Nuálaíochta agus Eolaíochta.

Tá imní léirithe faoin dochar a d’fhéadfaí déanamh do mhúineadh na Gaeilge agus don teanga trí chéile má thugtar isteach siollabas nua do Ghaeilge na hArdteiste do dhaltaí a fhreastalaíonn ar Ghaelcholáistí agus iarbhunscoileanna Gaeltachta mar atá beartaithe. Mura bhfuil cúiteamh ann do dhaltaí an scrúdú a bheidh níos deacra a dhéanamh, rachaidh siad chuig scoileanna Béarla, a deirtear.

Agus í ag freagairt ceist Dála ón Teachta Dála Michael Creed, dúirt an tAire Foley go raibh sí ar an eolas faoin éileamh ar phointí breise CAO don chúrsa T1 ach gur ceist do Roinn eile a bhí ansin.

Dúirt an tAire Foley go raibh ceist na marcanna bónais agus ceisteanna eile a bhain leis na cúrsaí nua Gaeilge ag brath ar a bhfuil i dtuarascáil atá le foilsiú go luath faoi na dréachtsonraíochtaí T1 agus T2. Dúirt an tAire go raibh sí ag súil go gcuirfí an tuarascáil, atá bunaithe ar chomhairliúchán poiblí a rinne an NCCA ar na dréachtsonraíochtaí, faoina bráid an mhí seo chugainn.

Tá an tuarascáil sin ar cheann de cheithre cinn atá le foilsiú go gairid a d’fhéadfadh tionchar mór a bheith acu ar a bhfuil i ndán do theagasc agus d’fhoghlaim na Gaeilge sa chóras oideachais.

Dúirt an tAire go raibh bailchríoch á cur freisin ag an NCCA ar thuarascáil faoi chúrsaí T1 agus T2 na Sraithe Sóisearaí, cúrsaí ar cuireadh tús leo in 2017 agus a scrúdaíodh den chéad uair i mbliana.

Tá conspóid ag baint leis na hathruithe sin chomh maith. Ag cruinniú i dTeach Laighean níos luaithe an mhí seo, léirigh múinteoirí Gaeilge a míshástacht i leith an scrúduithe a rinne daltaí i scoileanna lán-Bhéarla i mbliana agus maíodh gur “fuath seachas grá” a bhí á chothú don teanga ag cúrsa T2 na sraithe sóisearaí, an cúrsa nua do dhaltaí i scoileanna Béarla.

An bhliain seo chugainn a fhoilseofar an dá thuarascáil eile atá á réiteach faoi láthair faoi chás na Gaeilge sa chóras oideachais. Baineann an dá thuarascáil sin leis an bpolasaí nua atá á fhorbairt don oideachas lán-Ghaeilge lasmuigh den Ghaeltacht.

Tuarascáil taighde faoi chleachtais náisiúnta agus idirnáisiúnta i leith an tumoideachais atá sa chéad tuarascáil atá á dhéanamh ag Sealbhú DCU agus baineann an dara ceann le ceist chonspóideach na nAonad Gaeilge i scoileanna Béarla.

Deir lucht an ghaeloideachais gur sop in áit na scuaibe atá sna hAonaid Ghaeilge agus amhras mór orthu faoi fhiúntas mhúnla an aonaid.

Ghéill an Roinn go raibh géarghá le taighde a dhéanamh chun eolas a fháil faoi fhiúntas an aonaid.

Dúirt an Roinn i dtuarascáil a foilsíodh le déanaí mar chuid d’fhorbairt an pholasaí nua don ghaeloideachas gur dócha nach mbeidh ach “deiseanna teoranta” ann scoileanna lán-Ghaeilge nua a bhunú sna blianta amach romhainn.

“Uair éigin” in 2023 a fhoilseofar an polasaí nua don oideachas lán-Ghaeilge lasmuigh den Ghaeltacht, a dúirt an tAire Oideachais.
