    Festival Lecture / Talk  

    This event follows the launch of the new animated video on the development of the Joyce Country and Western Lakes Geopark karst landscape the evening before at the Crossroads in Cong.

    We will meet at Rosshill cemetary in Clonbur and walk through the woods to the limestone pavement geosite on the shores of lake.

    The event will take a minimum of 2 hours and start at 10am. The walk will be led by Geopark Geologist, Benjamin Thébaudeau, accompanied by two national karst experts:

    David Drew, author of the karst of Ireland, on the development the local landscape through our recent geological past, Mike Simms, senior curator of Natural Sciences at the Ulster museum, on the various features found on the limestone pavement on the shores of our great lake

    This is event is free and open to all.
