'Siúlóid Ghaeilge suas An Struicín, Cill Airne - Irish language walk up Strickeen Mountain, Killarney.

Cén áit ab fhearr do chuid Gaeilge a chleachtadh ná thuas ar shliabh ag sú isteach radharcanna áilne Chiarraí? Tagaíg linn suas An Struicín le Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin, The Kerry Cowboy. Is deis iontach a bheidh san imeacht seo do dhaoine nascadh leis an ndúlra timpeall orthu agus a dteanga dhúchais ag an am céanna. Beidh caint ar logainmneacha, ainmneacha plandaí, béaloideas agus eile. Is gá leibhéal réasúnta aclaíochta bheith agat agus tá fáilte roimh gach leibhéal Gaelainne. Muna bhfuil agat ach cúpla focal nó má tá tú líofa, bainfidh tú ardsúp as Siúlóid sna Sléibhte. Is imeacht saor in aisce é seo ach is gá ticéad a bheith agat mar go bhfuil spásanna teoranta. Cuirfear soláistí ar fáil ina dhiaidh saor in aisce leis, mar sin níl aon leithscéal gan a bheith linn ar an 8ú Meitheamh! - Buíochas le Ciste Spreagtha Conradh na Gaeilge as an dtacaíocht.

What better place is there to practise your Irish than on a mountaintop soaking in Kerry’s incredible scenery? Come along up Strickeen with Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin, The Kerry Cowboy. This event is a fantastic opportunity for people to connect with our surrounding nature and our native language at the same time. We’ll be discussing the names of places and plants, local mythology and history and more. A reasonable level of fitness will be required and all levels of Irish are more than welcome. If you’ve only the cúpla focal or if you’re fluent, Siúlóid sna Sléibhte promises to be an enjoyable outing for all. This is a free event but you must get a ticket as spaces are limited. Refreshments will also be provided for free following the walk so there’s no excuse not to join us on the 8th of June! - Many thanks to Conradh na Gaeilge’s Ciste Spreagtha for their support.
