On Saturday, April 2nd, we will be hosting an introduction to the Irish language song tradition in relation to style (stíl ar an sean-nós), repertoire, and cultural practice. Participants will listen to many examples of singers from various Gaeltacht communities.
Students will look at the stylistic elements of the various dialects of ‘sean-nós’ singing, and will explore two songs of contrasting tempo and content.
