    The people of Baile an Sceilg had a great influence on the writing of Mícheál Ua Chiarmhaic. Micheál was 78 years old when his first book, 'Cliathán na Sceilge', was published. Between then and the time of his death, 2005, he published 11 books: 8 in Irish and 3 in English. His archive is in the Boule Library, UCC.

    Micheál’s daughter Anne and her husband Pat will talk about Micheál Ua Chiarmhaic and read from his work during this walk.
