Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin i mbun comhrá le Doireann ní Ghríofa

@ Kennys Bookshop & Art Gallery

    Lecture / Talk

Beidh an údar Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin i Siopa Leabhar Uí Chionnaith i mbun comhrá le Doireann Ní Ghríofa ar an 18ú Samhain, agus muid ag ceiliúradh an Aitheantais Speisialta a fuair a úrscéal Madame Lazare ó Dhuais Litríochta an Aontais Eorpaigh.

In 2022, ainmníodh Madame Lazare le bheith san iomaíocht ar son na hÉireann do Dhuais Litríochta an Aontais Eorpaigh, gradam bliantúil a dhéanann ceiliúradh ar scoth na n-údar ficsin atá ag teacht chun cinn san Eoraip. Bhí 41 leabhar san iomaíocht i mbliana; bronnadh mórdhuais ar leabhar amháin acu sin agus tugadh aitheantas speisialta do chúig leabhar eile i ngeall ar a bhfeabhas mar shaothair litríochta agus i ngeall ar an gcumas atá iontu teorainneacha a thrasnú. Bhí Madame Lazare le Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin i measc na leabhar ar tugadh an t-aitheantas speisialta seo dóibh, an t-aon úrscéal Gaeilge a ainmníodh riamh don ghradam.

Is údar, scríbhneoir scripte agus cumadóir amhrán é Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin, a bhfuil roinnt mhaith gradam bainte aige thar na blianta. Is i nGaeilge is mó a scríobhann sé. Is scríbhneoir dátheangach í Doireann Ní Ghríofa, a bhfuil moladh na léirmheastóirí agus an phobail faighte aici do na sé chnuasach filíochta óna peann, mar aon lena leabhar A Ghost in the Throat, a bhuaigh Duais James Tait Black agus a ainmníodh mar Leabhar na Bliana ag Gradaim Leabhar An Post in 2020.
