Déanfar leathchéad bliain de ‘Léachtaí Cholm Cille’ a cheiliúradh an deireadh seachtaine seo in Ollscoil Mhá Nuad.

Uachtarán na hollscoile Philip Nolan a dhéanfaidh an chomhdháil a oscailt go hoifigiúil tráthnóna.

Is í an tOllamh Máirín Nic Eoin a thabharfaidh an phríomhléacht anocht, ‘Imeall nó Tairseach? Ionad agus Éifeacht Chritic Liteartha na Gaeilge le 50 Bliain Anuas’.

I ndiaidh léacht an Ollaimh Nic Eoin as Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath seolfar leabhar nua leis an Ollamh Fionntán de Brún faoi nualitríocht na Gaeilge,  Revivalism and Modern Irish Literaure – the anxiety of transmission and the dynamics of renewal agus Léachtaí Cholm Cille XLIX leabhar atá bunaithe ar ócáid na bliana seo caite ag ar pléadh saol agus saothar Myles na gCopaleen agus mhuintir Nualláin.

Agus 50 bliain de Léachtaí Cholm Cille á gceiliúradh ag comhdháil na bliana seo déanfar cíoradh chomh maith ar mhórthionscadail taighde atá ar siúl faoi láthair agus ar a bhfuil i ndán do Léann na Gaeilge sna blianta atá romhainn.

Beidh léachtaí amárach ann le scoláirí ó Ollscoil Mhá Nuad féin, ó Choláiste na Tríonóide, ó Ollscoil Chathair BÁC agus OÉ Gaillimh.

Beidh na scoláirí go léir ag trácht ar mhórthionscadail mhaoinithe atá ar bun faoi láthair acu, tionscadail atá ag plé le réimsí taighde éagsúla, ina measc filíocht na mbard, an fhoclóireacht, filíocht chomhaimseartha na Gaeilge agus an tSeanGhaeilge.
