Tuilleadh ábhar toghcháin i mBéarla amháin sa Ghaeltacht

| Tuairisc.ie |

Is iad Páirtí an Lucht Oibre an páirtí is déanaí le bileoga toghcháin i mBéarla amháin a scaipeadh ar fud na Gaeltachta.

I mBéarla amháin atá an t-ábhar bolscaireachta a scaipeadh sa Ghaeltacht mar chuid d’fheachtas Dominic Hannigan, iarrthóir Pháirtí  an Lucht Oibre sa toghchán Eorpach i dtoghcheantar Lár Tíre agus an Iarthuaiscirt.

Bhí conspóid cheana ann faoi bhileoga Béarla a bheith á scaipeadh ag iarrthóirí de chuid Fhianna Fáil agus Fhine Gael sa Ghaeltacht.

Sinn Féin an t-aon pháirtí go bhfuil bileoga dátheangacha acu do na toghcháin Eorpacha.

Idir an dá linn, tá ábhar bolscaireachta i mBéarla amháin crochta ag Luke Ming Flanagan, an feisire Eorpach neamhspleách aitheanta, i gCois Fharraige, ceann de na ceantair Ghaeltachta is láidre sa tír.

Dúirt Aire Stáit na Gaeltachta Seán Kyne go bhfuil sé chun scrúdú a dhéanamh ar leasú ar an dlí teanga chun a chinntiú nach dtarlóidh sé arís go scaipfí bileoga toghcháin i mBéarla amháin sa Ghaeltacht.

Dúirt an tAire Stáit gur “chúis aiféala” dó go raibh Fine Gael ar na páirtithe a scaip bileoga Béarla sa Ghaeltacht.

Rinneadh cáineadh géar ar na mórpháirtithe polaitiúla agus a n-iarrthóirí sna toghcháin Eorpacha as bileoga i mBéarla amháin a scaipeadh ar mhuintir na Gaeltachta.

Ní raibh focal Gaeilge sna bileoga a scaip iarrthóirí de chuid Fhine Gael, Fhianna Fáil agus Chomhaontas Glas sa Ghaeltacht.
