Deireadh ré agus a leabhar deireanach foilsithe ag Cois Life

| Tuairisc.ie | ,

Tá a leabhar deireanach foilsithe ag an gcomhlacht foilsitheoireachta mórchlú Cois Life atá le scor ag deireadh na bliana seo.

Gráinne Gaiscíoch Gael, leabhar le Siobhán Parkinson faoi Ghráinne Ní Mháille, an saothar deireanach ón gcomhlacht a bunaíodh i 1995.

Gráinne Gaiscíoch Gael ar cheann de shé leabhar atá ar an ghearrliosta do Ghradam Uí Shúilleabháin, an gradam foilsitheoireachta do leabhar Gaeilge na bliana.

Mhol Caoilfhionn Nic Pháidín, stiúrthóir Cois Life, go hard saothar Parkinson, an saothar deireanach a chuirfidh an teach foilsitheorachta amach.

“Bhí sé soiléir dúinn – nuair a nocht an scríbhinn chugainn ón máistir pinn seo – go raibh éacht déanta ag Siobhán,” a dúirt sí.

Dúirt Siobhán Parkinson féin gurb é an saothar is déanaí uaithi an ceann “ba dhúshlánaí” a scríobh sí riamh ach go raibh sí “an-sásta” le toradh a cuid oibre.

Dhíol Cois Life os cionn 100,000 leabhar ó bunaíodh é agus chuir siad amach  breis is 150 teideal le 74 údar éagsúil.

Mí Iúil seo caite a d’fhógair stiúrthóirí Cois Life go raibh an teach foilsitheoireachta le dúnadh, fógra a spreag díospóireacht faoi na dúshláin a bhíonn roimh fhoilsitheoirí na Gaeilge.

Tá sé i gceist ag Cló Iar-Chonnacht stoc agus cearta Chois Life a thógáil ar láimh. Déanfaidh Cló Iar-Chonnacht cúram de riar an stoic, iadsan a bheidh ag plé le ceadanna athfhoilsithe leabhar Chois Life agus “eisiúint athchlónna de réir chúinsí an mhargaidh”.

Dúirt Stiúrthóir Chló Iar-Chonnacht Micheál Ó Conghaile le Tuairisc.ie anuraidh go raibh súil ag an gcomhlacht freastal ar scríbhneoirí Chois Life “chomh fada agus is féidir” agus idir 8 agus 10 leabhar breise a fhoilsiú sa bhliain dá réir.
