  • ‘Seans maith’ go mbuailfidh Trump le Hassan Rouhani, uachtarán na hIaráine

‘Seans maith’ go mbuailfidh Trump le Hassan Rouhani, uachtarán na hIaráine

Tá ráite ag Donald Trump go bhfuil “seans maith ann” go mbuailfidh sé le hUachtarán na hIaráine Hassan Rouhani sna seachtainí amach romhainn.

Dúirt Trump an méid sin mar fhreagra ar fhógra Uachtarán na Fraince Emmanuel Macron go raibh iarracht ar bun teacht ar réiteach ar an aighneas seanbhunaithe idir an Iaráin agus Meiriceá.

Dúirt Trump go mb’fhéidir go dtacódh sé le hiasachtaí a thabhairt don Iaráin sa chás go mbeadh cainteanna ann.

Uachtarán na Fraince Emmanuel Macron a d’fhógair inniu go raibh socruithe á ndéanamh maidir le cruinniú a eagrú idir uachtarán Mheiriceá agus uachtarán na hIaráine sna seachtainí romhainn.

Dúirt Emmanuel Macron gur labhair sé le Hassan Rouhani le déanaí. Ba é tuairim láidir uachtarán na Fraince go bhféadfadh Rouhani agus Trump teacht ar réiteach ar an tsáinn san aighneas idir an dá thír faoi chúrsaí núicléacha.

Ag labhairt dó ag cruinniú an G7 in Biarritz inniu, dúirt Macron go raibh “dhá rud tábhachtach” ann, “nach mbeadh airm núicléacha ag an Iaráin go deo agus nach gcuirfeadh an cheist seo as do sheasmhacht an réigiúin”.

Dúirt Donald Trump go mbeadh sé sásta bualadh le huachtarán na hIaráine “ach na cúinsí a bheith ceart chuige”.

“Ach idir an dá linn caithfidh siad a bheith ina n-imreoirí maithe,” arsa Trump.

Dúirt Trump nárbh amhlaidh go raibh sé ag iarraidh go mbeadh réimeas nua i gceannas san Iaráin ach dá gcuirfeadh an Iaráin isteach ar leas Mheiriceá gur “fórsa an-fhoréigneach” an freagra a gheobhaidís.

Fógraíodh chomh maith ag cruinniú an lae inniu pacáiste tacaíochta breis is €20 milliún chun cabhrú le tíortha tinte na hAmasóine a cheansú agus chun tús a chur le feachtas idirnáisiúnta chun an fhorais bháistí a chosaint.

Ní léir an mbeidh tacaíocht Uachtarán na Brasaíle Jair Bolsonaro ag an bplean agus chuir sé i leith Macron go raibh sé ag caitheamh leis an mBrasaíl mar a bheadh “coilíneacht” ann.

De réir sonraí satailíte bhí 41,000 tine san Amasóin go dtí seo i mbliana, breis agus 20,000 acu sin an mhí seo amháin. Meastar gur feirmeoirí a las formhór na dtinte agus iad ag glanadh na talún.
