STOIRM LORENZO: Gálaí gaoithe agus díle bháistí chugainn amárach le Lorenzo

| Maire Ni Fhinneadha |

Tá gaoth luas 130 ciliméadar san uair agus díle bháistí ar an mbealach go hÉirinn amárach, Déardaoin, a bhuí le Stoirm Lorenzo.

Tá rabhadh oráiste gaoithe fógartha ag Met Éireann ó 6pm Déardaoin go dtí 3am Dé hAoine do chontaetha na Gaillimhe, Maigh Eo, Chiarraí, Chorcaí agus Luimnigh.

Beidh rabhadh buí i bhfeidhm sa tír ar fad ó 8am Déardaoin go dtí 6am Dé hAoine.

Beidh rabhadh buí báistí i bhfeidhm ó 9am maidin amárach agus 9am maidin Dé hAoine agus táthar ag tuar go bhféadfadh suas le 100mm báistí titim i gceantair sléibhe i Maigh Eo, i nGaillimh agus i nDún na nGall.

Idir 50mm agus 80mm báistí atá á thuar sa leath thuaidh den tír.

Tá Stoirm Lorenzo ar an speirling mhór is faide ó thuaidh agus is faide soir a tharla os cionn an Aigéin Atlantaigh.

Spéirling catagóir 1 atá i Lorenzo ach beidh sí lagaithe go maith faoin am go mbuaileann sí talamh in Éirinn.

Mar sin féin, táthar go dtabharfaidh Lorenzo leis go hÉireann tráthnóna amárach gálaí móra gaoithe, báisteach throm agus farraigí arda.

Bhí cruinniú ar maidin ag an nGrúpa Náisiúnta Comhordaithe Éigeandála agus é ina imní go mbeidh tuilte ann agus go ndéanfaidh an stoirm damáiste.

Tá fainic á cur ar thiománaithe mar gheall ar an mbaol atá ann go leagfaidh Lorenzo crainnte.
