Geallúint tugtha go mbeidh an Ghaeilge ina cuid ‘tábhachtach’ de chúram coimisiún craoltóireachta nua

| Tuairisc.ie |

Tá geallta ag an Roinn Cumarsáide go mbeidh an Ghaeilge ina cuid “tábhachtach” de phlé an choimisiúin nua atá le bunú chun plé le todhchaí na craoltóireachta seirbhíse poiblí.

Tugadh an méid sin le fios do Tuairisc.ie in ainneoin nach bhfuil an focal ‘Gaeilge’ luaite i dtéarmaí tagartha an choimisiúin.

Ach ní raibh urlabhraí de chuid na Roinne sásta geallúint a thabhairt go gceapfaí duine le saineolas i gcraoltóireacht na Gaeilge ar an gcoimisiún nua.

Luaitear i dtéarmaí tagartha an choimisiúin, a d’fhógair an tAire Cumarsáide Richard Bruton le déanaí, go bhfuil dualgas ar chraoltóirí seirbhíse poiblí maidir le heolas agus siamsaíocht a chur ar fáil don phobal faoi chúrsaí “cultúir, féiniúlachta, spóirt, teanga agus eile”, ach níl tagairt shonrach ar bith i measc na dtéarmaí tagartha don Ghaeilge ann.

Dúirt urlabhraí ón Roinn Oideachais gurb í an Ghaeilge a bhí i gceist leis an bhfocal ‘teanga’ agus go mbeadh an Ghaeilge ina cuid “thábhachtach” de phlé an Choimisiúin um Thodhchaí na Craoltóireachta Seirbhíse Poiblí in Éirinn.

Tá an Coimisiúin á bhunú chun scagadh a dhéanamh ar gach gné den chraoltóireacht seirbhíse poiblí féachaint conas is fearr tabhairt fúithi agus conas is fearr í a mhaoiniú as seo go ceann deich mbliana.
