‘Ón Taobh Istigh’ seolta ag Jake Mac Siacais

| Dáithí Anraí | ,

Seoladh dírbheathaisnéis an Ghaeilgeora agus an Phoblachtánaigh Jake Mac Siacais ag Club Leabhar Choiscéim Feirste mar chuid de Fhleadh Feirste roimh an Nollaig.

Sheol an t-iriseoir Gearóid Ó Muilleoir an leabhar ina ndéanann Mac Siacais cur síos ar na tréimshí ar chaith sé i bpríosún le linn na dTrioblóidí in éineacht le scéalta óna óige agus na deacrachtaí pearsanta a bhí aige chomh maith – rud a chuireann béim ar dhébhrí an teidil, ‘Ón Taobh Istigh.’

Mhínigh Mac Siacais dúinn gur chuir se tús lena scéal pearsanta féin a scríobh nuair a tháinig an dúlagar air sa bhliain 2015 agus gur chaith sé deich mí i mbun pinn. Ba léir go raibh scéal an-chumhachtach ar fad scríofa aige agus chinn sé ar é a chur in eagar mar leabhar go luath ina dhiaidh sin.

Bhí Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich lán go doras chun an chéad leabhar seo le Jake a sheoladh agus idir chlann agus chairde an scríbhneora i láthair. Tá ról lárnach ag Jake ó thaobh cúrsaí Gaeilge de i mBéal Feirste agus é ag obair le Forbairt Feirste le blianta anuas – bhí sé soiléir ón scaifte a bhailigh le chéile i nDánlann Dillon gur fear é Jake a bhfuil an-mheas ag Gaeil Bhéal Feirste air.

Tá ‘Ón Taobh Istigh’ le Jake Mac Siacais ar fáil in An Ceathrú Póilí.
