‘Láthair chatha’ déanta ag Donald Trump de Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá – Biden

| Tuairisc.ie |

Tá sé curtha i leith Donald Trump ag a phríomh-chéile comhraic, Joe Biden, gurb amhlaidh go bhfuil “láthair chatha” déanta ag an Uachtarán de Mheiriceá trí sheanfhaltanais a mhúscailt agus údair eagla nua a chothú.

Ag labhairt dó in Philadelphia inniu faoi mharú George Floyd agus na hagóidí a lean, mhaígh Biden gur uachtarán ar son an athmhuintearais a bheadh ann féin, murab ionann is Trump.

“Is dóigh leis [Trump] gur cabhair dó an t-easaontas. Is tábhachtaí a naircisíocht ná leas an náisiúin a bhfuil sé i gceannas air.

“Ní ag spreagadh eagla agus ag cothú scoilte a bheidh mise. Ní ag adhaint tine an fhuatha a bheidh mé. Déanfaidh mé iarracht cneácha an chiníochais, a bhfuil an tír seo cráite acu le fada, a leigheas, seachas leas polaitiúil a bhaint astu,” arsa Biden, a bheidh ina iarrthóir ag na Daonlathaigh i dtoghchán uachtaránachta na bliana seo.

Tá agóidí agus círéibeacha ar siúl ar fud Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá le cúig lá anuas de bharr mharú George Floyd, fear dubh 46 bliain d’aois as Minneapolis. Sáinníodh George Floyd ar an talamh agus choinnigh póilín a ghlúin ar a mhuineál nó go bhfuair sé bás. Cúisíodh an póilín as dúnmharú den tríú grád agus dúnorgain den dara grád agus spreag an eachtra agóidí i gcoinne an chiníochais ar fud Mheiriceá agus ar fud an domhain, agóid de chuid Black Lives Matter i mBaile Átha Cliath ina measc.

Dúirt Joe Biden gur cuid d’fhadhb an chiníochais Trump seachas a bheith mar chuid de réiteach an scéil. Dúirt sé gur oscailt súl a bhí i marú George Floyd, go háirithe na focail dheireanacha a dúirt sé, ‘Níl mé ábalta anáil a tharraingt’.

Dúirt Biden go raibh na focail sin le cloisteáil i gcónaí agus go gcaithfí aird a thabhairt orthu agus dul i ngleic leis an gciníochas agus an leatrom a d’fhág gur bhraith daoine ar fud na tíre nach raibh tarraingt a n-anála acu.
