Os cionn 200 saothar san iomaíocht do Chomórtais Liteartha an Oireachtais

Cuireadh os cionn 200 saothar nuascríofa isteach le haghaidh Chomórtas Liteartha an Oireachtais 2020, dar leis an eagraíocht chultúir. Beidh 23 comórtas éagsúil ar chlár comórtas na bliana seo — 15 acu sin dírithe ar scríbhneoirí fásta agus ocht gcomórtas dírithe ar scríbhneoirí óga.

Is ag an bpainéal moltóirí atá na saothair éagsúla anois agus déanfar meastóireacht orthu idir seo agus an dáta a bhí an tOireachtas ceaptha a bheith ar siúl — Samhain 2020. Cuireadh an fhéile mhór Ghaelach ar ceal ag tús mhí an Mheithimh mar gheall ar scaipeadh an víris chorónaigh in Éirinn. Fógrófar torthaí an chomórtais ar líne aimsir an Oireachtais, cé nach mbeidh an fhéile féin ar siúl i nGaillimh mar a bhí beartaithe.

I measc na gcomórtas a bheidh ar siúl i mbliana, tá an comórtas don ‘Úrscéal Ficsean Ginearálta’, comórtas a bhíodh an tamall ó shin ach a bhfuarthas réidh leis. Beidh comórtas nua á reáchtáil freisin don ‘Aiste Fealsúnacht’ is fearr, gradam atá á urrú ag An Timire. Beidh comórtais ann don ghearrscéalaíocht, ficsean d’fhoghlaimeoirí fásta, prós, filíocht, drámaí agus eile. Duaischiste €27,000 atá luaite le comórtais na bliana seo.

Tá na Comórtais Liteartha ina gcuid lárnach d’obair an Oireachtais ó bunaíodh an fhéile in 1897.
