‘Masla’ – freagraí i mBéarla ó aire rialtais ar cheisteanna Dála i nGaeilge

| Tuairisc.ie |

Tá gearán le déanamh leis an gCeann Comhairle inniu ag Teachta Dála a fuair freagraí i mBéarla ar cheisteanna Dála a chuir sé ar aire rialtais i nGaeilge.

Cathaoirleach ar Choiste Oireachtais na Gaeilge agus na Gaeltachta Aengus Ó Snodaigh a fuair na freagraí i mBéarla ar na ceisteanna Gaeilge a chuir sé faoi bhráid an Aire Gníomhaithe ar son na hAeráide agus Líonraí Cumarsáide.

Dúirt Ó Snodaigh, urlabhraí Gaeilge Shinn Féin, nár tharla riamh cheana ó toghadh é in 2002 go bhfuair sé freagra Béarla ar cheist Dála i nGaeilge.

“Masla” a bhí ann ní hamháin dó féin mar Theachta Dála ach don teanga, a dúirt Ó Snodaigh aréir.

Bhain na ceisteanna scríofa a chuir Ó Snodaigh ar an Aire Eamon Ryan le taighde a rinne John Walsh agus Rosemary Day ar úsáid na Gaeilge ar an raidió, le cás na Gaeilge sa reachtaíocht chraolacháin agus le cur chun cinn na teanga ar stáisiúin raidió.

Cé gur i nGaeilge a bhí na trí cheist, i mBéarla a bhí na trí fhreagra a cuireadh faoi bhráid an Teachta Dála thar ceann an Aire.

Tá an chuma ar an scéal chomh maith nach bhfuil ach baint fhánach ag cuid de na freagraí Béarla leis an ceisteanna Gaeilge a cuireadh.
