Réalta iománaíochta Átha Cliath Liam Rushe ceaptha ar Bhord Fhoras na Gaeilge

| Tuairisc.ie |

Tá Liam Rushe, an réalta iománaíochta de chuid Bhaile Átha Cliath, ceaptha ina bhall ar bhord na heagraíochta teanga trasteorann Foras na Gaeilge.

Fógraíodh chomh maith gur athcheapadh ar feadh tréimhse bliana beirt bhall eile den bhord, Máire Ní Neachtain agus Sorcha Ní Chéidigh.

Tá Liam Rushe, atá ina chuntasóir le PWC, ar fhoireann shinsir iománaíochta Átha Cliath ó 2009 agus tá craobh Laighean agus sraith náisiúnta amháin buaite aige. Tá dhá ghradam All-Star buaite aige.

Naomh Pádraig Bhaile Phámar a chlub agus trí Ghaeilge a fuair sé a chuid oideachais sa bhunscoil agus san iarbhunscoil.

Ceadaíodh na ceapacháin ag cruinniú den Chomhairle Aireachta Thuaidh-Theas inné.

Dúirt an tAire Gaeltachta Catherine Martin agus Aire Stáit na Gaeltachta Jack Chambers go raibh siad ag súil go mór le bheith ag plé leis an mBord nua. Ghabh siad buíochas le hiar-Chathaoirleach an Bhoird, Pól Ó Gallchóir, “as a chuid oibre agus an t-ionchur dearfach a bhí aige le linn a théarma a bhí ar leas an Fhorais Teanga agus na teanga i gcoitinne ar fud an oileáin”.

Táthar ag súil go gceapfar cathaoirleach nua ar bhord na heagraíochta trasteorann go luath sa bhliain nua. Déanfar a thuilleadh ceapachán eile sa bhliain nua chomh maith.

Cepadh triúr comhaltaí nua eile ar an mBord an mhí seo caite, an t-abhcóide agus iaruachtarán ar Chonradh na Gaeilge, Dáithí Mac Cárthaigh, an Dr Neasa Ní Chiaráin, teangeolaí i gColáiste na Tríonóide, agus Ola Majekodunmi, craoltóir le Raidió na Life.

Tá Foras na Gaeilge i dtaobh le leathbhord le tamall toisc nárbh fhéidir folúntais a líonadh de dheasca na sáinne polaitiúla i Stormont.
